Lovely White Delicate Roses; A reminder of nature's fragile, yet restorative beauty during times of devastation and deepest sorrow...

Dreamy, Fragrant, Old Fashioned Roses,
Candlelight, Crystal And French Cream Ware... A reminder of nature's restorative beauty during times of devastation and deepest sorrow...

A moment of silent reflection  of the enjoyment of the other poignantly, simple images lovely creamy white Roses, of nature's fragile beauty that speak of more peaceful, gentler and quieter times... Yet mostly and above all,  a blog post to write about especially honoring those who are deeply affected by such tragic losses caused by Hurricane Sandy!

I am sharing a little vignette series of happier times before this storm who forever has tragically altered and deeply affected the lives of so many.  Just taking a slice of life that is but a small, serene moment from amid the terrible chaos, the powerful devastation and loss that Hurricane Sandy wreaked just yesterday.  There are no doubt many pictures of the tragedy. So I will not be referencing them personally...

These white Rose images are meant to be dedicated to those who perished because of the recent Hurricane Sandy storm. Meant to honor, to be in loving memory of those who have sadly perished during and because of Hurricane Sandy. ~ This blog post is also intended to if possible, somewhat temporarily cheer. To however briefly  seek to temporarily uplift those that remain and who suffer such loss, devastation and heartache.

I most sincerely and respectfully fully realize that many simply very understandably do not have the time nor the inclination to view any blogs.  I doubt many such individuals among my readers living in the affected areas will perhaps even have the ability with due awreness and consideration of massive widespread devastation and power outages in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Let alone, even the time nor the inclination to look at blog posts. Yet, if and when any of you folks do happen by, you are most welcome to nonetheless join with me briefly, as I am taking this opportunity to share and to reach out to you.

It is my sincere hope that I will perhaps lighten and brighten your small corner of the world in some small way my friends. This is my little slice of life, to share with you. My tiny photographic reflection of God's far ranging blessings as expressed through the loveliness,  fragile beauty and purity that a white Rose brings to mind.  This blog post is a mere, microcosmic artistic expression from my camera, my garden, my heart  and my home to yours

Yes, this little white Rose vignettes blog post is truly just an unimportant tidbit, really just, 'a tiny  dot',  in the much grander scheme of things.

Even so; "Art washes from our soul the dust of every day life". So that if even just for a little wee, briefest of moments in  your heart there is even just a feeling that indeed your heart is little litller, just a little bit gladdened, hopeful for better days ahead. Lightened just a little, then it has indeed been worth taking  moment to reach out in sharing with you my friends... That is what I so adore about blogging.

Blogging and reading blogs can provide respite during very exceedingly difficult and tragically trying times.  Times that allow us the enriching,  soothing, healing elements and components within the blogging experience. The freedom to just relax, even for a few fleeting moments in the middle of a literal mess and seemingly endless arrays of hectic, busy chaos in widespread areas all throughout New England and hundreds of miles beyond...

If  even for a  few brief moments in time, to choose 'to just be', truly above the heartache and mess yet, in the moment. ~ To just breathe deeply and to allow into our weary and troubled minds and our very souls to be rested and encouraged. To even of fleetingly and briefly begin to one again enjoy the  simple enjoyments. In this instance, moments of enjoying viewing some photo styling, art and nature's richly vast array of abundant beauty such as white Roses in full bloom...

To enjoy beauty that is afforded by such blessings which can be enjoyed by the millions of weary souls. Those who do enjoy art, photography, books. Perhaps  also even magazines, all kinds of social media and Tablet, IPhone, Android and Blackberry apps, YouTube, TV, movies, theatre, and last but not least... even blogs and blogging. ~ To once again enjoy the comforts and  the joys of simply reaching out and connecting  to one another, as no other time in history.

During times when for far too many there is such a widespread destruction and power outages; during such times, we surely do miss those privileges of readily available uses of electricity and all of the correlated creature comforts to be sure!  So this little blog post is intended as a means to one of enjoy life's pleasures through blogging, albeit, in a very small way, by giving you the opportunity to partake in viewing these pictures if you wish. To enjoy the joys of blogging and reading blogs, especially for those of you who are perhaps also much in need of respite and re energizing these days.

For those of you who are also perhaps in need of a fresh, re-focus, and inspirations during what for some of you may well be one of the blackest and darkest times in your life to date. For those of you who may perhaps also find yourself right in the middle of one of life's proverbial and for others of you of life's literal storms and it's nasty painful costly aftermath, that of Hurricane Sandy

Here for you to enjoy as a very brief respite is a re-posting of images from this past Summer to remind us of the ephemeral,  delicate, fleeting and fragile. Of the fragrant beauty of nature amid the devastation of nature's powerful displays during such a terrible super storm of the century as Hurricane Sandy was most surely was, and is

No doubt there will be many accounts of selfless heroism that will also emerge as they come to light in the next while. True accounts that will be most worthy of our deepest gratitude and admiration. Especially as we see how very the wide spread areas are that were in harms way. The areas and people most profoundly effected in the 1000 mile radius of Hurricane Sandy's wake of wide spread and immense destruction in her path as millions of folks regroup, rebuild and slowly heal.

These white Rose images on today's blog post are photos which are the opposite of those kinds of images of Hurricane Sandy's wake, rather these softly lovely white Rose images are those pictures that speak quietly and yet eloquently of times respite amid life's storms.

We are naturally very deeply concerned and touched by the sheer magnitude that was recently caused by this 1000 mile wide swath of nature's destructive fury. Both by some of the damage was incurred  in the preceding days leading up to Hurricane Sandy making land fall with the wind rain and storm surge flooding, as well as in the aftermath.

Those blinding snow blizzards, wind, massive storm surges, rain and flooding that still continues in some regions as the storm continues to rotate, ever too slowly for many. Ever wending it's way North Westerly in some regions and perhaps even veering North Easterly as well, depending on the wide spread areas in Sandy's devastating storm wake. The aftermath and vestiges of the devastating Super Storm of October 2012, Hurricane Sandy...

Our hearts go out to all of you and to all who suffered and continue to suffer from these massive losses of every kind imaginable. Profound losses ranging from the untimely deaths, from the bitter results of the wrath of nature, the tragic and stinging losses.  To those who did and for those who continue to suffer due to power outages, structural and property damage, flooding, to extreme property damages and financial losses... and so much more!

Especially once again dear folks, to offer heartfelt prayers and sincerest condolences for the storm related deaths. My heart aches for you!

Around the world, know that your pain, is our pain. It is most keenly felt!... We are your Canadian neighbors and friends, your empathetic allies as we inter-lock our hearts and hands together to reach out to you and yours in the hours of need that lay ahead in the next days, weeks and months!

Especially here in Atlantic Canada, we do understand such tragic losses... especially because in our fair coastal city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada ( which is located  just about an hour way from Boston Massachusetts via plane), we also have bitterly tasted of  the experience of the devastation of a direct hit from Hurricane Juan in 2003.  We will never forget this experience, nor the kindness of our American friends, as long as we live here in Nov Scotia.  You see,, some volunteer, New England Power-truck-crews* kindly helped my husband and I personally. Under the direction of our own over- burdened Nova Scotian power teams, they* were authorized to then personally hook us up with our power grid after 8 long cold days and nights without power.

Most notably however in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, we also experienced the tragic destruction of most of our fair coastal city during the December 1917, Halifax Explosion in which  the tragic blast that killed over 2000 thousand souls and maimed many thousands more.  During that time, much of the North end of the city was laid waste.  The worst snow storm of the century with blizzards ensued which seriously then hampered rescue efforts and wreaked further havoc as a further devastatingly tragic result.

As well, here in Nova Scotia we have also also sadly been touched by the experience of the Swiss Air plane crash just off the cost of Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia, where there were over 300 lost souls  and no survivors.

Here in Halifax, Nova Scotia , Canada, we are also the location of the largest burial ground also for the victims of the ill fated, sinking of Titanic tragedy.

The beautiful tall ship, the Bounty* was a beautiful replica, of a sailing vessel of old, a ship of sail that was built in our very own Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.  She* was your very own renowned and majestic, American sailing vessel that recently sank in the ocean swells caused by Hurricane Sandy. The tall ship the Bounty* was relatively recently here in the port of my own city,  the port city Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada just this past summer as she visited our  fair port city for the festival of the tall ships. ~ We mourn the loss of her captain and also the young deck hand who did not survive the tragic sinking of that majestic vessel of sail, yet we applaud the heroic rescue of the remainder, of her crew!

Boston, Massachusetts came to our rescue here in Halifax, Nova Scotia against all odds in 1917, just days after the Halifax Explosion occurred. We are privileged to therefore send the city of Boston a 50 foot Christmas tree every year since that tragedy,  as a small token of our un-ending gratitude. We were also privileged to host the many stranded passengers during the grounding of the planes during the immediate concerns of the 911 tragedy. We will stand by you, as you have us. With strong ties and deep bonds of enduring affection, especially with New England (and all the United States), as we have always done!

Because, although  we are decidedly very comparatively small in population base, nonethe less as you can now see, we are no strangers to such similar grief and unthinkably tragic losses, therefor we  do deeply understand in uniquely empathetic way.

Yes... we are a nation of a vast and majestic land mass geographically speaking,  yet with much less of a population base here in Canada. Especially in the tiny province where I live here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, where we are much smaller yet.

Yet it is surely our honor and privilege as your fellow neighbors to the North as some of our Canadians and even our fellow hardy Atlantic Canadians, along with our electrical engineers, accompanied with many other power trucks with expert line-men and their crews, along teams of workers who are there with you now (even as I write this blog post), to assist. To help when and where ever  we are able and most needed in order to give back to you in the US affected by Hurricane Sandy (whether you are geographically specifically in New England or not), in as much as we are able.  Seeking to yet once again return the favor by strengthening the ties that bind

May God bless and keep you all during your hour of need in the 1000 mile radius of this massive Hurricane Sandy Storm and it's devastating aftermath!

For those of us who adore cats (when they not being too frisky, aggressive or naughty), they are such enjoyable, relaxing and intriguing, purring furry little creatures and companions! I do hope that  many pet owners are now safe and sound, also that their beloved pets will not suffer because of this tragedy. The reality is however that so many cats, dogs and pets will likely need help however, as this sadly often happens during such massive natural disaster tragedies.

I hope you've enjoyed my fragrant, creamy, dreamy, lovely white roses, especially whereas these beauties grow in abundance just waiting to be enjoyed by all.  ~ Natures' delicate beauty amid this time of an example of the display of natures powerful fury that has brought about via Hurricane Sandy. ~ A time of tragedy, the urgent need to give help and yet with a profound thanksgiving for all that remains.

My kitty Peaches...

Prayers, hugs and blessings from Wanda Lee
